Our solar controlled roofs also dramatically reduces ultra-violet rays passing through the roof, which can cause furniture to fade - available in Neutral Clear, Subtle Blue or the latest Aqua Green.Traditionally used for many years in conservatory roofs, polycarbonate units are ever popular because of their light weight, heat insulation properties and value for money. We offer a range of polycarbonate options which are Northern Ireland's leading choice with conservatory and orangery buyers. Designed to coordinate with every colour of frame available, you can opt for clear, opaque or tinted units to give protection from the glare of strong sunlight, minimisation of heat build up in summer where the location is south facing and yet good light quality to the inside of your new room. In addition to allowing heat to escape, our roof ventilation systems are ideal for orangeries intended for kitchen use as they offer an escape for unwanted cooking odours allowing fresh air to circulate the room.LightingOrangeries are naturally light and airy spaces due to the very nature of their construction. Large glazed windows and the open roof allows daylight to pour in. To enable you to make the most of your orangery in the evening, at David Gibson Conservatories we install spot lights in the internal pelmet that echo the contemporary feel and provide subtle lighting if needed.
